Vocal Teacher at Dawn Walters Music Academy

Dawn Walters has been teaching in Southern California for 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a double major from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Dawn’s studio teaches proper vocal technique, audition skills, performance skills, building your repertoire, microphone work and music interpretation/acting though your songs. Dawn believes that while teaching safe and proper vocal technique is absolutely important, a safe learning environment where a student can find their true voice and grow is the key! Dawn works with all levels of singers and vocal styles from beginning to professional singers. She is also a Vocal Consultant for Studio lessons.

Dawn’s clients come from all over the County. Dawn’s clients have worked on The Disney Channel, Hollywood Record Label, Nickelodeon, ABC Family, Broadway, American Idol Top 100, National Tours, Dodgers, Lakers and Kings Games National Anthem Regulars, The Roxy, Feature Films and National Commercials and thousands of Regional and Community Theater Productions. She has students accepted into top Music Theater Programs around the Country and the USC Popular Music Program.

As a performer, Dawn is a SAG/AFTRA performer. She studied with some of the top teachers in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York. She has also performed in Los Angeles, Boston, New York and San Diego. Dawn was with the record label Mona Lisa Records in Boston. Her resume includes: “Showtime” television, National Commercials, Hundreds of Stage Productions, Directing, Session Work and is currently working on her own Disney Demo! 

Dawn loves seeing her students’ hard work pay off and watching them soar to new levels. Whether you are a beginner or a long time professional singer, she believes she can help anyone who has the passion and love for singing succeed to their ultimate goal!
